Established in 2012. - 95% from recycled, donations or second hand materials and supplies, provided by our local communities: reducing tremendously our footprint impact while developing relationships with the community participating to our green concept; - Organic & Vegetarian food menus (Breakfasts, Lunches & Snacks) created by a Private Chef and Menu/Recipe Developer & served daily with fresh produce from local farmers' market ; Filtered water; - A green environment with a luxuriant garden, a vegetable garden in progress, patio for eating outside, Art & science Atelier, a huge library... - A trilingual & progressive immersion environment: French/English and Mandarin classes (Spanish will be added); - Teaching locally with the awareness of a global ecosystem; including ecology & gardening classes, composting, recycling, reusing, learning about the protection of your wildlife, while experiencing the love of working together, indoors and outdoors activities; - A family house setting to welcome you When Celine Chouteau became a certified teacher & School Library Media Specialist in Secondary Education in France, specializing in sustainable development researches with her students, she will have never imagined to be teaching in the United States, in Los Angeles, California. Five years ago, she dreamed about creating her own green school while supporting her community and promoting environmental awareness and social responsibility. Opening this Fall 2012, Phoenix Global Green School is a new sustainable school concept. While renting a house, Celine, who is also teaching French by progressive immersion to the early age children, wants to contribute in greening the place thanks to the children involvement, by reusing materials and school supplies that are also coming from local communities and with the support of the parents by enrolling their children at her school.
