Located at the heart of Coos Bay Oregon, the Blue Heron Bistro is a small-town German restaurant serving traditional German food, local seafood, and more. due to covid we have done our best to update what we have available and at what cost. we have managed not to raise more than 3 items pricing in doing so by adding in a homemade soup and salad into each order with our homemade bread (dine in only for soup and salad freedbie ) and taking some items off our menu temporarily. we hope you enjoy our new menu as much as we do and thank you so much for your understanding .please call 541 217 7249 for reservations or to go. we are currently doing dine in and curbside delivery. Here at the Blue Heron, we believe in serving homemade, well-prepared meals to our customers. We shop as local as possible when possible using farmers markets and farm to table products . We make our very own desserts, French bread, and dark German sourdough rye and buttermilk bread right here in the restaurant. In addition, our German bratwurst and Kasseler Rippchen are made and smoked right here in house .. By using drippings from our meat dishes, we make our own gravies from scratch and use Yukon Gold potatoes to prepare our Spatzle, warm potato salad, and garlic mashed potatoes.
