Over the past decade, we've trained 9,000+ small developers across 33 states and two Canadian provinces—neighbors transforming their communities one building at a time. We're the missing middle between government programs and large-scale developers, creating the affordable, walkable neighborhoods our cities need. Our alumni are winning real policy battles, like Tennessee's HB2782 (allowing 3-6 unit buildings under residential code) and Memphis's Large Home Amendment. Through 180+ training sessions and 800+ scholarships, we've empowered a movement where 50% of developers are women and people of color. The Next Step Campaign We're reaching for 10,000 developers and beyond by: Translating curriculum to Spanish (28% of our trainees are Hispanic/Latino) Developing replicable policy tools Creating municipal toolkits (our members' #1 request) Named a 2025 Ivory Prize Top 10 finalist for housing innovation, we're proving that affordable housing is built by neighbors with knowledge, tools, and determination. Join us: incrementaldevelopment.org/donate Together, we're building the places people love—one incremental step at a time.
