The John Payne Music Center is a non-profit music school founded in 1979 dedicated to providing high quality, caring, and patient instruction to all ages and skill levels with an emphasis on increasing musical enjoyment as well as ability. We are conveniently located right across the street from the Brookline Village T stop on the Green Line (view map). John Payne, the school's founder and director, had an extensive national performing career, including playing and recording with Bonnie Raitt and Van Morrison, before settling down and starting the school.
