LEARNING STEWARDS Information

Learning is not just one of the things we do. Everything we do, in every of moment life, involves learning; every movement we move, every emotion we feel, every word we know, and every thought we think. Babies learn to become children, children learn to become teens, and teens learn to become adults. Learning Stewards is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. Founded in 2008, its mission is to ‘make the case’ (economically, politically, socially, neurologically, psychologically, educationally, parentally) for “stewarding the health of our children’s learning”. WHAT WE DO: Our main site (https://bit.ly/2M7jWCj) contains numerous articles that redefine learning, outline the differences between healthy and unhealthy learning, between natural and artificial modes of learning, and that make the case for changing the mission of educating and parenting to: “stewarding the HEALTH of our children’s learning”. Our Children of the Code Site (https://bit.ly/2JFjRno) contains over 134 videos and 50 transcripts based on our interviews with field leading scientists and scholars regarding the ‘challenge of learning to read. Learning Stewards provides parents, educators, and institutional thought-leaders with personal and professional learning experiences that exemplify a 1st person learning oriented methodology for stewarding healthy learning (https://bit.ly/2KdZ89Z).
