Little Athletics is a uniquely Australian sport for children aged 3-17 years. As the name suggests, it is based upon the sport of athletics (track and field) and the events are specifically modified to suit the ages and abilities of children. We conduct a wide range of running, jumping, throwing and walking events to suit all ages and levels of children's athletic ability. We believe Little Athletics to be the "foundation for all sports" offering young people activities and skills that will help them to "be their best" moving into any future sport in which they choose to participate. Little Athletics SA is about having fun, making friends and getting families involved "Family, Fun and Fitness" with our focus on both participation and personal improvement. Each summer approximately 6,000 Australian boys and girls enjoy Little Athletics sports, including those from physically, financially or environmentally disadvantaged backgrounds, at our 50 or so centres located across metropolitan and regional South Australia.
