Lucy Therapeutics is a private biotech company focused on developing proprietary small molecule therapies and diagnostic biomarkers using knowledge mapping and mitochondrial expertise to identify and prosecute new targets at the nexus points of genetic, mitochondrial and environmental dysfunction for complex diseases. Our initial focus is on CNS diseases where disease progression is rarely tied to genetics alone and mitochondrial and environmental factors play a bigger role than has been previously thought. LucyTx has identified two separate targets with this approach - one for the orphan disease Rett Syndrome and another for Parkinson’s disease. Our targets have been validated as neuroprotective in multiple animal models and Development Candidates have been identified for both programs. LucyTx is pursuing financing to enter the clinic for these advanced programs.
