NascaCell IP is a global leader in the automated production and marketing of custom aptamers. Aptamers are synthetic drug-like molecules that can specifically knock-down protein functions in living cells and organisms. Their rapid production and convenient handling mean aptamers can be used in numerous drug discovery applications, such as animal studies or high throughput drug screening. NascaCell IP enjoys worldwide freedom for its business operations, with access to over 300 patents and patent applications. We are committed to investing in the further expansion of our intellectual property position for aptamer-based target validation and drug discovery. We provide flexible service and collaboration agreements for our partners, permitting the commercial use of aptamers in the areas of target validation and drug screening. NascaCell IP is an expanding biotech company with more than six years experience in aptamer selection and applications. Today, we occupy about 400 square meters of laboratory and office space in Munich-Grosshadern, neighbouring Munich-Martinsried, the hub of Germany's biotech activities. The company is backed by several renowned institutional and international strategic investors, among them VC-investors TransConnect GmbH and BioM AG. The last round of financing was closed in Q3 / 2003.
