Secure Cloud Computing for Semiconductor Design and Collaboration Silicon Cloud International (SCI) is a privately held company registered in Singapore. Our mission is to provide secure and private cloud-based semiconductor design infrastructure and eco-system. Our initial focus is to provide turn-key IC design flows and a secure, multi-tenant, cloud-based, scalable computing environment for universities and research institutions around the world. Security has long been a major obstacle for the deployment and adoption of IC design in the cloud. Our underlying cloud architecture and technology has been successfully demonstrated as part of a US government-funded prototype with defense-grade security. A secure and trusted environment will enable universities and research institutions access leading edge manufacturing technologies (PDK), state of the art design tools and the latest open source and proprietary cloud computing technologies. SCI has established a strategic partnership with the Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) to structure joint advanced research collaboration between universities and the SRC semiconductor industry consortium members. To date, semiconductor design, methodology, and IP research between multiple international research universities and industry under a cloud computing security model has not been possible. SCI will provide a secure semiconductor design infrastructure computing cloud and ecosystem that will be maintenance free and provisioned with the latest semiconductor process technologies, production grade reference work flows, semiconductor IP, and Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software. We are in varying levels of engagement with several countries around the world to establish a national semiconductor design and computing infrastructure.
