SOLIDARITAS is an Indonesian social enterprise doubling as a consulting firm. We work with organizations that design and implement development programs to iteratively improve the effectiveness of their work. As a consulting firm, we provide advisory services related to the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems, as well as technical implementation support for data collection, analysis, data management, and reporting – either as part of ongoing performance monitoring, or as part of one-time evaluations. As part of our consulting work, we also offer several public training courses that introduce participants to key concepts and theory related to monitoring and evaluation, as well as customized in-house trainings. We also offer mentoring and coaching for M&E and program staff that need additional support in implementing M&E processes. Our capacity building process is hands-on and interactive, allowing participants to bring their own cases and use them as the basis for learning that suits their needs. As a social enterprise, we allocate 50% of our total profits to support improvements in public and non-profit management in Indonesia. This includes providing pro-bono or reduced rate consultancy services for strategic clients who have a limited ability to pay for our services (we prioritize local governments and Indonesian NGOs), and various forms of skills development for individuals working on public- and non-profit sector effectiveness.
